Some women who have been in abusive relationships are not their true selves. They believe they have to try to be perfect with “perfect” being defined by somebody else. If you have grown up in an abusive household, you may have conditioned yourself to suppress your true feelings. If you have learned to do that, the good news is you can unlearn it.
I share happiness strategies with my clients and students. Once you being to think differently about your personal worth, you see there IS a way to naturally feel happy. That is at the core of happiness coaching.
I have worked with thousands of women since 1988 when I first became a hypnotist. Then, as I studied more about how the brain thinks, I became a brain dialog researcher. I wanted to know how women could think they were happy when they kept making excuses for allowing themselves to be abused.
If you are truly happy, you feel relaxed, comfortable, peaceful. If these three words do not describe your usual state of being, you may have misdefined what true happiness is.
I’d like you to ask yourself this simple question. Why do I feel so happy? If you do NOT believe this is true, then the next step is to find natural ways to rethink this simple idea. When you change your thoughts you can change your behavior. By changing your behavior, you can change your life.
